Refining the Visual Strategy
As the Art Director for the 2024 Rethinkable Festival, I had the privilege of collaborating with exceptionally talented individuals whose contributions were essential to the festival’s visual identity.
The festival’s foundational aesthetic was established by designer Edoardo De Stalis, whose logo and key visuals have become a signature since 2022. His groundwork provided a strong visual base, and this year I focused on further refining and expanding that vision.
A major part of my role extended beyond visuals—I also contributed significantly to the festival’s programme, bringing in new partnerships, including Open House Slovenia, and conceptualising several key events.
Above all, I am grateful to Maví Carcione, the festival’s creator, for entrusting me with the art direction and encouraging my involvement in shaping the broader festival experience.
Building on the established aesthetic, I worked to create a cohesive and visually engaging look across all festival materials. This included refining the colour palette, graphic styles, and typography to ensure the visual language remained fresh yet consistent with the festival’s identity
The logo in the extended and short form have been deployed in several versions, making it flexible yet consistent and recognisable across the different platforms.
Visual Consistency
I developed additional branding materials and oversaw adaptations that honoured the festival’s original identity while introducing new visual elements for this year’s edition. The result was a seamless extension of the festival’s branding that effectively communicated its values of sustainability and social consciousness.
In line with the festival’s mission to reduce environmental impact, I coordinated with the production team to select eco-friendly materials for printed items and prioritised digital solutions wherever feasible, ensuring that every choice contributed to a more sustainable experience.
